This long valley is directly east of Huaraz and starts in front of the village of Pitec. Regulary visited and one of the most beautiful and wildest valleys of the central cordillera with archeological ruins and daily presence of condors.

An easy path and a short steep climb lead to the pass with a superb belvedere looking out over all the summits of the Cordillera Blanca. Descending towards the lovely valley of Cojup or take the easy side trip to the the lake below the Pallcaraju glacier with a fantastic view. The trail ends at the road to Huaraz.
