Pasto Ruri is a glacier, situated at 5240 m. We organize a daytrip to this beautiful place which is ideal to acclimatize. It takes approximately 3 hours by bus but you make several stops. On your way to Pasto Ruri, in the valley of the Río Pumapampa, you will see the Puya Raymondi. This plant has the largest inflorescence in the world and has up to 18.000 individual flowers, 6.000.000 seeds and can grow as high as 12 metres. It only blooms once, at the end of its life.

You´ll make another stop at the geisers, at a site to see the pintura rupeste and at the lake with the seven colours.
