For mountaineers Ishinca is the second most popular valley after Llanganuco. Acces is usually easy and quick, and it is an ideal area for acclimatizacion, where one is able to climb a large number of summits in a short space of time. Collón is the departure point for the trek to Ishinca to the small, wild Urus valley, which holds two magnificent little lakes and some well-conserved fauna.
