The highest peak in Peru and the 4th hightest in south America, Huascaran has two peaks. The north face is a fine difficult route with a mixture of ice, snow, rocks and altitude. It is  a classic, climbed or attempted relatively frequently. Via los Catalanes is the most beautiful route on Huascaran Norte´s  face.

The South peak is the highest peak (6768 m). From the top you have a spectacular view of Pisco, Huandoy, Chopicalqui, Santa Cruz, Artesonraju, Caraz, Chacraraju, Alpamayo, Yanapaccha, Piramide, etc.
