At the village of Chancos there are hot springs. The water comes out of the ground at 75° Celsius. There are seven thermal caves, making a natural sauna and natural heated bathtubs.
These hot springs have been used for centuries and are still popular with the Peruvian people. There is a regular bus service from Huaraz to Chancos.
